Fast Acting Dental Braces

Using the Inman Aligner To Straighten Your Teeth Quickly.

Nobody likes to wear any form of dental brace for any longer than necessary. Unfortunately though, many systems, however ‘invisible’, can take quite a long time to work. This is understandable as it is important to avoid damaging the teeth by applying too much pressure too quickly.

Different types of orthodontics can be used to correct different problems though, and, in some situations the use of a fast acting orthodontic system like the Inman Aligner is appropriate and highly effective whilst also taking less time.

Inman Aligner

The Inman Aligner, whilst not having the ‘invisibility’ advantage of systems such as Invisalign, rarely has to be worn for more than a few months to achieve its aim. In fact, in some cases, it may be as little as six weeks to do so . This makes it an ideal solution for anyone wishing to have their teeth straightened in time for going on holiday for example.

Although it lacks the immediate discretion of Invisalign, it does share one of its other advantages in that it is designed to be removed by the patient when eating or for cleaning the teeth. Although we do recommend that you remove the brace as little as possible, except for these times, it can also be removed for potentially important occasions such as a date or job interview, for example. Patients should bear in mind though, that the more it is removed, the longer the duration the treatment period is likely to be.

Combination treatments

One useful feature of the Inman Aligner is that it can be used in combination with other orthodontic systems to speed up treatment time in more severe cases. The Inman Aligner can be used, for a few months, to start the process off quite quickly, and then a more discreet method, such as Invisalign can be used to complete the process over a longer period of time, but in a more discreet manner.

Advantages of even teeth

We are aware that some patients consider it not worth going through the potential ‘inconvenience’ of wearing any form of dental brace. Unfortunately, by doing so, they miss out on some of the advantages that modern cosmetic orthodontics can offer.

  • Nicer looking teeth – The most obvious reason for people to have this procedure.
  • A ‘better’ bite – An even bite means that there is less risk of damage to the teeth when you are eating and therefore chips, breakages or uneven wear are less likely to occur.
  • Better oral health – Teeth that are too close together or overlap are much harder to clean. Although a toothbrush, and sometimes even floss, might struggle to get between these teeth, the microscopic bacteria that causes dental decay certainly can.
